About Get X Media

01 Where are you located and who do you work with?

We are headquartered in Calgary and work with essential local service businesses across Canada, the USA, and Mexico. The whole process is remote-friendly, so where you are based is rarely a barrier.

02 What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Local service businesses: plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers, contractors, dental and health practices, home services, and beyond. If you serve a local market and rely on the phone ringing, this is built for you.

03 How do I get started?

Start with a free marketing audit or a short conversation. We look at where you are, show you the biggest opportunities, and hand you a plan. No obligation, no pressure.

04 What is the results guarantee?

Every plan is guaranteed, or we work for free. Each tier carries its own window: Foundation results in 90 days, Growth in 30, and Scale in 45. If we do not deliver in that window, we keep working at no charge until we do.

05 Are there long-term contracts?

No lock-in. Our subscriptions are month to month. We would rather earn your business with results every month than hold you to a contract.

06 What is Cortex?

Cortex is our in-house growth platform and mobile app. Every service we run lives in it, so you can watch your SEO, Google Ads, and social work happen in real time, with the leads, calls, and bookings they drive right beside them, all human-reviewed.

07 How are you different from a typical agency?

We pair 20+ years of human expertise with our own AI systems, so you get enterprise-level work at small-business prices. Pricing is transparent with published rate cards, and everything we do is tracked live in one app instead of hidden behind monthly invoices.

Marketing Strategy

01 What exactly is the Get X Business Blueprint?

Your custom marketing strategy document: competitive analysis, audience segmentation, brand positioning, and a complete channel strategy. Built by our proprietary AI systems and refined by experts with 20+ years of experience.

02 How long until I have my strategy?

Market research that traditionally takes weeks is delivered in days. After your 1-hour deep dive session, your personalized Business Blueprint is handed over in as little as 48 hours.

03 Why is this so much cheaper than traditional consulting?

What used to cost $25K in consulting fees, we deliver for a fraction. Our in-house AI handles the heavy analytical lifting while seasoned strategists refine the output: enterprise-level research at small-business prices.

04 What happens during the 1-hour deep dive?

A rapid but thorough exploration of your business identity, mission, and market strategy. In one hour we get to the core of what makes your business different and where the growth actually is.

05 Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No. The deep dive is a no-obligation conversation about your business challenges and goals. No contracts, no surprises. Just results.

SEO and AI Search

01 What does AI search optimization actually do?

AI engines like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini are changing how people find businesses. We optimize your presence with semantic, knowledge-graph, and schema signals so AI assistants cite and recommend you, not just rank you on Google.

02 What is included in SEO management?

Complete coverage: organic rankings, the local pack, and AI search. On-page and technical fixes, content optimization and publishing, semantic and knowledge-graph work, authority and backlink building, schema, Google Business Profile management, listings, and press releases.

03 How quickly will I see results?

SEO is a longer-term investment. Most clients see meaningful ranking improvements within 90 to 120 days as content, authority, and technical signals compound. Local-pack and AI-citation gains often appear sooner.

04 What kinds of businesses is this built for?

Local service businesses across North America: plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers, contractors, and beyond. If you serve a local market, this is built for you.

05 Are there long-term contracts?

No. The subscription is month to month with no lock-in. We believe our results should keep you here, not a legal agreement.

Social Ads

01 Which platforms do you run ads on?

Facebook and Instagram through Meta Ads Manager, run alongside Google Ads where it makes sense so the whole budget works as one system.

02 Do social ads work for service businesses?

Yes, differently than search. Search captures people already looking; social builds awareness, fills slower seasons, promotes offers, and retargets visitors who did not convert the first time.

03 Who makes the ad creative?

We do: imagery, video, and copy, all matched to your brand. You approve before anything runs.

04 How is it priced?

Like our Google Ads management: one simple monthly budget, with our fee at 30% of actual ad spend. No setup fee, no build fee.

05 Are there long-term contracts?

No lock-in. Month to month with flexible budgets, scale up or down as capacity changes.

Social Media Management

01 Which platforms do you post to?

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn (personal and business pages), Google Business Profile, and YouTube Shorts. Each gets posts and reels tailored to its audience while staying consistent with your brand.

02 Do I have to supply the content?

No. We create all of it: imagery, copywriting, photos, and reels. We use your real photography if you have it, create photo-realistic AI imagery on your brand, or blend both.

03 Do I have to approve every post?

Your call. In the app you can approve, deny, or remix each post, or let us approve on your behalf. Either way, nothing off-brand ever goes out.

04 Is it just AI on autopilot?

No. AI helps us produce on-brand imagery and drafts at scale, but every post is reviewed by our human team before it reaches you, and you have final say.

05 Can I still post myself?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. We keep you always active and always sharp; the best results come when you stay involved too.

06 Is there a long-term contract?

No lock-in. Cancel anytime. Standalone organic social runs $1,250/mo, and it is included in Scale plans.

Email Marketing

01 Do you actually write and design the emails?

Yes. We are full service from strategy to send: we write the copy, design the emails, build the automations, and track the results. You just approve.

02 What kinds of emails do you build?

Lead nurturing, value-engineering sequences, re-engagement, appointment reminders, newsletters, pre- and post-service emails, feedback surveys, referral invitations, and contracts. Whatever moves your business forward.

03 How do you keep emails out of spam?

Deliverability is engineered from setup through every send: proper authentication, clean lists, and content built to inbox standards.

04 Will campaigns stay compliant with email laws?

Compliance is built in by design, including CASL, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM, protecting both your business and your customers.

05 How will I know it is working?

Detailed analytics and reporting track performance in real time, and we refine campaigns continuously based on the numbers.

Web Design

01 How long does a website take?

Most builds are completed in 7 to 10 business days from discovery call to launch. Larger or more complex projects run 2 to 3 weeks. The process is streamlined to cut the usual agency back-and-forth.

02 How much does a website cost?

Website design starts at $3,500 CAD for 3 to 5 service pages plus contact and about, including design, copywriting, and SEO setup. On a monthly plan you can fold the build into your retainer over 6 months instead of paying up front. Extra optimized service pages are $350, extra info pages $125.

03 WordPress, Astro, or Next.js: which one do I need?

We pick the platform on the discovery call based on how the site will be used. WordPress when your team edits content often, Astro when speed and reliability matter most, Next.js when the site is really an application. The design quality is identical on all three.

04 Will my website be optimized for SEO?

Every build ships with proper heading structure, meta optimization, schema markup, fast load times, and Search Console setup, then gets verified with a third-party audit before handover.

05 Can I update the website myself?

Yes. WordPress builds use Elementor so non-technical users can edit content easily, and every project includes a training session plus 30 days of post-launch support.

06 Do you only work with businesses in Calgary?

No. We are headquartered in Calgary and build for clients across Canada, the USA, and Mexico. The whole process is remote-friendly.

Managed Hosting

01 How much does managed hosting cost?

A flat $79 per month, CAD. One price covers speed optimization, enterprise security, daily backups, all updates, email deliverability, monitoring, and direct expert support. Month to month, no setup fee, no lock-in.

02 How is this different from regular hosting?

Regular hosting gives you server space and leaves the rest to you: updates, security, speed, backups. Managed WordPress hosting handles all of it automatically, so you run your business instead of troubleshooting technical issues.

03 How does hosting affect my website speed?

Your hosting decides how fast pages load. We run Vultr High Frequency compute servers, Cloudflare Enterprise CDN across 200+ edge locations, Redis caching, and server-side optimization, so pages load in under a second instead of 3+.

04 How often are backups taken?

Daily automated backups with 30-day retention. If something goes wrong, a bad update or an accidental deletion, we can restore your entire site to any point in the last month with one-click restore and minimal downtime.

05 What happens if my site gets hacked?

Our enterprise security makes it extremely unlikely, but if the worst happens we are on it immediately. Incident response is included: we identify the breach, clean the malware, restore from a clean backup, patch the vulnerability, and get you back online, with no extra charge.

06 Why are my website emails going to spam?

Most hosts send email straight from the server, which spam filters do not trust. We route your website email through SendGrid with proper SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication, so contact forms, order confirmations, and password resets actually reach the inbox.

07 Can you migrate my existing WordPress site?

Yes, and we handle the whole thing: files, database, configuration, and DNS, with zero downtime for your visitors. We test on a staging environment first, and most migrations finish within 24 to 48 hours.

08 Are there any long-term contracts?

No long-term contracts. Cancel any time with 30 days notice. You should stay because you want to, not because you are locked in, and if you ever move your site elsewhere we will help with the migration.

AI and Automation

01 What is AI automation for a local business?

AI integrated directly into the systems you already run: auto-completing data entry, segmenting audiences, responding to customers, generating reports, and doing deep research in seconds. More output, less overhead.

02 Where does it save the most time?

Customer service inquiries, daily admin, meeting management, employee training, lead follow-up, and reporting: the repetitive work that quietly drains your team every day.

03 How do you decide what to automate first?

We start with a free efficiency audit, analyzing where your time actually goes. From there we map solutions to the highest-impact, highest-viability opportunities.

04 Off-the-shelf tools or custom builds?

Custom builds on Cortex, our in-house growth platform, embedded into your core processes rather than a generic wrapper. Our own agency runs on the same systems we build for clients.

05 Do I need your other services to use automation?

No. Automation stands on its own, though it compounds fastest when the marketing engine feeding it is also dialed in.

Web App Development

01 What do you actually build?

Client portals, dashboards, booking and scheduling systems, quoting tools, job trackers, and integrations between the systems you already use. If your business runs on it, we can build it.

02 Have you built things like this before?

We run our own agency on Cortex, a growth platform we designed and built in-house: rank tracking, reporting, automation, client portals, and AI systems. Client apps get the same engineering.

03 What does a web app cost?

It depends entirely on scope, which is why every project starts with a scoping session. Small internal tools start in the low thousands; full portals and platforms are quoted per build with a fixed price before we start.

04 Who owns the code?

You do. No platform lock-in, no ransom. If you ever leave, the code and data go with you.

05 Do you maintain it after launch?

Yes. We host, monitor, back up, and update everything we build on our managed infrastructure, and keep improving it as you grow.

Mobile App Development

01 Do I really need an app, or is the website enough?

They do different jobs. The website wins new customers; an app keeps the ones you have: rebooking, loyalty, push notifications, and a permanent spot on their phone. For crews, field tools alone often justify the build.

02 iOS, Android, or both?

Both, from a single modern codebase, so features ship to every customer at once and the build costs a fraction of two separate native teams.

03 Have you shipped real apps?

Yes. We design, build, and operate our own products end to end, including consumer apps distributed through the App Store, and we run the same pipeline (builds, certificates, store review, releases) for client projects.

04 What does an app cost?

Scope drives it, so every project starts with a scoping session and a fixed quote. Focused single-purpose apps start far below what most owners expect; platforms with accounts and payments are quoted per build.

05 Who handles updates after launch?

We do: monitoring, fixes, OS updates, and new features on a steady cadence, plus the store releases that go with them.

Operational Efficiency

01 What exactly is this service?

We audit every piece of software and tooling your business pays for, then show you where to cut: free alternatives, cheaper alternatives, tools you can consolidate, and what it would cost to bring a capability in-house as an app you own. You walk away with your total spend, a mapped set of replacements and savings, and a proposal.

02 How is this different from AI + Automation?

AI + Automation adds new systems to save you time. Operational Efficiency looks at what you already pay for and cuts the bill, then decides what is worth owning instead of renting month after month.

03 What if building in-house costs more than the subscriptions?

Then we tell you to keep the subscription. The proposal is the honest math both ways. Sometimes renting wins, sometimes owning does, and you get the numbers to see which is which.

04 Do I have to switch everything at once?

No. You get the full picture and decide what to act on. We start with the biggest, safest savings and move from there, only if and when you want to.

05 Why start with a meeting instead of the free audit?

This is a different kind of engagement from our marketing audit. To map your software spend properly we need to see your stack and understand how you work, so we start with a short call rather than an automated report.
